CPC and CPC Plus online emulation

Hello people,

first let me introduce myself.

My name is Markus, and I live in Hannover, Germany.

Actually I'm 40yo and the Amstrad CPC 464 was my first homecomputer back in 1985.

Well, now you perhaps think: "Hey, what does a German potatoe search in a Greek forum?"

2 Reasons:
1) I'm not a Kangaroo... (Insider)
2) Ethaniel forced me to register here... (I guess, he would beat me with cotton balls until I bleed, if I wouldnt register...)

Ok, now I'm here, and am already spamming your forum with my first thread:

(First back to my "history")

In 2004 I found the Java Applet "JEMU" (jemu.winape.net) in the www.

It also provides the sources, so I (an absolute Java-Noob) begun modifying the codes.

Later in 2006 for the first time I was able to talk about an Amstrad CPC emulator in java.
(Released a very crappy JavaCPC emulator)

This base I improved up to version 6.7 (which is still available somewhere in the Internet's Walhalla..)

Later (2010) I thought: "Why don't you add a complete desktop with all apps you need when you develope CPC programs?"
The result was "JavaCPC Desktop" which is the actual Amstrad CPC emulator developed by me.

Later again (2012) I decided to code a smaller CPC emulator for online usage (As applet, embedded on a website) and made a little website around it.

Now we are in 2013 and I'm still a noob... (Or freak)

In this year I added GX4000 / CPC Plus emulation to my website, too.
(JavaCPC Desktop still comes without CPC+ emulation!)

So, I want to invite you all to my JavaCPC Games website.

What does it contain?
- More than 1200 old CPC games to play online
- More than 200 old CPC demos to watch online
- All known GX 4000 games online (Including those using a lightgun! Lightgun emulation makes it possible)
- Most known CPC Plus games and demos to play and watch online (Not all yet, because the emulator is still in a very early stage)

It's really nice to have you here with us mate.
We all share our memories and love on retro video gaming back to the 80's and 90's here as well us info and modding on vintage computer and game-console hardware.
The majority of posts here though is in Greek, the truth is. But eitherway we'll be glad to have your thoughts in English and can get back to you too easily as most of the Greeks speak english natively.

Personally I have visited already your wonderful site a few months ago, and I'll say that is a excellent effort having this emulating online these vintage gaming hardware!

I forgot to write, that I often spent my holidays in Greece in the 70s, and 80s.

My uncle is from Athens, and so we visited him and his family very often.

I also know 3 Greek words: (For me the most important words in my childhood)
"Καρπούζι, ναι, όχι"

Watermelons were the most eaten stuff I liked

My mum bought me an audio cassette: "Sun, Sea and Bouzuki"...

I guess she regretted it later, because this tape was a *must* in our car radio...

Later I got married and my interests were in other things.

(Luckily I'm divorced since 2004, but sadly I'm unemployed, so I have no money anymore to continue my visits... )

Well, back to topic.

It's not easy to reply you all, but a few words to Nick:
I'm still looking for some co-admins on my website, who feed the page with new games and demos.
All you'd need are:
- A .png screenshot of the title (384x270 pixel)
- The DSK(s) (each zipped)
- Title and publisher of the game
The rest is done then by my website (Adding watermark and title to screenshots, it all works from a single upload form)

although that i'am an Amiga user, i'm lately intersted for the Amstrad 6128 machine. I'am waiting one from a friend of mine if everything goes well and I see that it has been a very good work to your forum and i will have it mind.

Oh! I love custom CMS and web dev in general!

Markus pretty much interesting the above, indeed.
Luckily enough I'm a professional web developer and made custom CMS web platforms all written in pure. NET/MS SQL and PHP/mySQL (as the ones I personally own and indicate above) I hate Joomla staff...
